Aston Villa have signed 18-year-old Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of 55 million euros (£47m). Mbaye scored three goals and provided two assists in 31 appearances for PSG last season and featured in all four of Senegal's matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring in a 3-1 defeat by France to become the youngest African player to score at a men's World Cup. The teenager joined PSG from FC Versailles 78 in 2018, progressed through their academy and made his senior debut in August 2024 at age 16; he was born in France and switched international allegiance to Senegal in 2025. Villa confirmed Mbaye as the latest attacking arrival under Unai Emery following signings including Alejandro Garnacho, Johan Manzambi and Nicolas Jackson, part of a summer overhaul that has also seen key departures such as Ezri Konsa to Arsenal, Morgan Rogers to Chelsea and Ollie Watkins to Al-Hilal.
