Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, 26, revealed a new buzzcut on social media the day before City’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth, captioning the post "New season, new trim." Video showed Haaland nervously watching a hairdresser chop off his trademark blonde locks before he began smiling and joking about past hairstyles. Haaland phoned teammates and figures including Jack Grealish, Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher and manager Pep Guardiola for reactions; Gallagher said "You look about 17 years old. It's good. Change is good," Grealish laughed that Haaland looked "about 10 years old," and Guardiola told him "You're lucky you have hair. I would love to have it. I love it." Haaland said Zlatan Ibrahimovic had advised him never to cut his hair, and Ibrahimovic responded, "What did you do? You lost a bet or what? Block me and erase my number." Haaland will wear the new look as Enzo Maresca’s side seek a first-season goal when they kick off at 14:00 BST on Sunday against Bournemouth.
