Aaron Donald worked out at the Los Angeles Rams training camp on Wednesday as he weighs a possible return from retirement, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 35-year-old last played in the 2023 season, when he had 53 tackles, 23 quarterback hits, 16 tackles for loss and eight sacks in 16 games. Donald said Pat McAfee the Rams acquiring Myles Garrett on June 2 made him start thinking about rejoining the team, and TMZ reported he was later seen doing individual drills at the Rams facility. On July 16 NFL Network's Ian Rapoport wrote Donald "does not really know himself" if he will end retirement and plans to get into football shape before deciding. Rams coach Sean McVay told ESPN's Sarah Barshop there would be no news until the team returned to Woodland Hills but that "things are going in the right direction" and the situation is trending upwards. Los Angeles added Garrett and cornerback Trent McDuffie after reaching the 2025 NFC Championship Game; Donald returning would provide a notable boost to the Rams' pass rush and title outlook.
