Looks like their benevolent magnificences at the PIF have tired of another toy. Shemaghs hastily being whipped off heads in preparation for "we want our club back" self-righteousness very shortly.
If the owners are happy to cash in on key players and now Eddie Howe is gone, what exactly is the long-term ambition for Newcastle? It doesn't look like a club pushing to compete at the very top.
Don’t blame him after all his best players were sold.
Finishing in the bottom half with a £150m wage bill was always going to bring criticism
As the Saudis seem to have decided to buy FIFA instead, another big Carabao Cup run is no longer so attractive.
Geordies should be pleased - I bet the investment truly starts now
We already have a podcast recording scheduled for later today.
You've got to feel sorry for Eddie Howe's wife with Jason Tindall permanently hanging out in her house until they get a new job.
This has been in the post for months. It was clearly the end of the project/cycle, big players leaving, others checked out, transfer business was messy, no Europe - I’m just amazed it didn’t happen sooner. Wonder what this means for Bruno G (if anything).
Barely 10 days since Keegan passed away. Where’s the respect?
Excited to see Jaissle in Premier League. Will talk in more detail on the @thetransferflow.bsky.social podcast today but I think he's one of the most promising young coaches around who might have dropped off many people's radar in Saudi but actually did quite a good job there
WTF? Bruno, slap in that transfer request and get out while you can. It's a sinking ship! 😭⚓
Thanks for everything Eddie! Surprised by the timing though - could’ve been a couple of months ago. Up the Matthias Jaissle Mags #nufc
Personally, I feel for Newcastle fans. We are seeing a challenger club be completely dismantled, playing into the hands of the status quo. This could easily be Villa in the same position. Fortunately, Villa have been prepared for the raid and won't take it lying down. But how long for?
