Reuters/Ipsos poll: one in three Americans back Iran war
Reuters: Just one in three Americans support the war on Iran, the lowest reading in a Reuters/Ipsos poll since the five-month-old conflict's early days, with most respondents saying that President Donald Trump has failed to explain his goals.
He failed. His only goal was to get a better deal than Obama had, & quickly. Instead, he’s getting his ass handed to him by Iran. And made it all worse for the American people, our Country in the World standing, & for the rest of the World that depend on that trade route. A total mess. Typical Trump
@leahmcelrath.bsky.social Who are the idiots who think he did account for himself?
So essentially, everyone who voted for Trump still supports him. Depressing.
🇺🇸🇮🇷 A new Reuters/Ipsos poll found that 33% of Americans support the U.S. war with Iran, while 69% say President Trump has not clearly explained the war's objectives. ❗️Trump's approval rating rose to 37%, up 3 percentage points from last month.
37% is a lot! It's so wierd to watch this from Europe
1/3 is holding 2/3 hostage…for years
Amazing that his popularity is even increasing🤣 Seems like the yanks can pretty much tolerate anyone as their Great Leader as long as it's a male that says "God bless America" a lot and distracts them with some war they can get busy complaining about without really give a shit.
It is insane that he has the approval of 37% of the American electorate.
3% in one poll is likely just noise. Original poll may have been a point too low, new poll a point too high. Recent polling seems to suggest that his approval has settled in around the 36% mark, which, with how tribal politics has become, it's hard to see anyone dropping below 30%
One third are often very stupid, just like in germany...
@pennbarker.bsky.social reacts to a recent CBS poll that shows the American people support the Administration's goals for the Iran War but lacks confidence in them to fulfill these goals. "I'm actually proud of the American people for this one. They don't believe we're accomplishing [these goals]."

I'm sorry, what goals would those be? Never articulated beyond 'we bomb good'.
What poll of idiots did they poll, Kentucky, Tennessee & Alabama? Sounds skewed to me? Polls I have seen ate more like this : “End Now: Two-thirds of respondents in the CBS/YouGov poll stated that the U.S. needs to get out and end the war immediately rather than continuing operations” 7/26/2026
It seems only natural that CBS would start push-polling under Bari Weiss. Ethics doesn't seem to be her strong suit.
