New UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham is capping English bus fares at £2 - outside London; they’re already £1.75 in the capital. He got a short-term boost with his finances. Inflation is down to 2.6%, but thanks to Trump’s War it’ll be heading back up soon.

Claire S (UK not USA)9Because it would have shown Starmer and Reeves weren't failing and we couldn't possibly allow that to be reported. I very much doubt it'll be any different with Burnham in charge, the problem wasn't Starmer it was a Labour government and the uphill task of undoing 14 years of Tory underfunding.

The Guardian, touting the recent drop in inflation as a lift for Burnham, even though he had nothing to do with it. Credit is due to PM Starmer, but does he get a mention?. No, of course not. The headline should be, 'UK inflation falls to 2.6% thanks to the Govt. of Prime Minister Keir Starmer'.
