Season 3 finale of The Vampire Lestat, Episode 7 "The Failures," closes with a major cliffhanger as Armand and Molloy behead both Lestat and Louis, leaving Sam Reid's Lestat mulling his sins in a mind palace while Jacob Anderson's Louis wakes with his severed head displayed on a pike. Showrunner Rolin Jones says the season was structured to bring Lestat and Louis' parallel confessionals together and that the finale intentionally leaned into horror, citing contemporary films as guideposts for the episode's more terrifying passages. Jones calls Armand's reveal as the season's villain a difficult long play that required withholding Assad Zaman from view so viewers would feel his presence like wallpaper that peels off slowly. The twist forces Louis to confront the harm he caused Armand and to make genuine amends, and Regina must explain her role in Armand's machinations. Jones teases hidden meanings and seeds planted throughout Season 3 that point toward future chapters, framing the finale as both a conclusion of this arc and a setup for whatever comes next. The episode is available on AMC and AMC+ and features Eric Bogosian as Molloy alongside the principal cast.

I have to start the series from the beginning to catch up but when I saw/heard that Lestat was doing legit band stuff I had to see how they adapted it, it's my favorite of the chronicle novels and the note that it goes out on is so amazing in the book, I've been waiting for justice to this story

My humble suggestion is that after you finish watching The Vampire Lestat finale you go back and watch the entire season again, because the whole thing was so intricately constructed you won’t see how much of the finale was laid out through the previous six episodes until a second viewing.
