Drone strikes hit Noginsk oil depot and Moscow Oblast warehouses

On July 18 Ukrainian forces carried out a large-scale drone attack on Moscow Oblast that set fire to an oil depot in Noginsk and a Wildberries fulfillment center in Elektrostal, east of the capital, Russian Telegram media channels posted. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said over 370 Ukrainian drones were launched toward Moscow Oblast and that 64 were downed while approaching the capital; thick black smoke from the Noginsk depot was visible from within Moscow. Videos and photos posted by local residents show large plumes rising over both sites, and the Wildberries strike followed an earlier hit on a fulfillment center in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, during the same night. The Kyiv Independent cannot verify the reports and Ukraine has not commented on the strikes. The attack comes exactly one month after Ukrainian drone strikes damaged the Moscow Oil Refinery on June 18 and follows an intensified Ukrainian long-range campaign against Russian military, industrial, and energy targets. Russia has bolstered capital air defenses by deploying Pantsir-SMD-E systems on civilian rooftops, and Reuters reported on June 24 that the Moscow Oil Refinery is unlikely to resume production this year after recent damage, adding pressure to domestic fuel supplies and prompting export bans and sales restrictions across Russia.

This is how the sky in eastern Moscow looks this morning. An enormous thick pall of smoke hangs heavy in the air. But it's not all from the Wildberries warehouse - Ukraine also hit an oil depot nearby in Noginsk. Two people are reported injured in that explosion.
