Drone strikes hit Noginsk oil depot and Moscow Oblast warehouses

Ukraine's military carried out a large-scale drone attack overnight on July 18 that Russian channels say set fire to an oil depot in Noginsk and a Wildberries fulfillment center in Elektrostal, both east of Moscow. Local photos and videos purport to show thick black smoke from the Noginsk depot roughly 50 kilometers east of the Kremlin, and a large fire at the Wildberries site south of Noginsk. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said over 370 Ukrainian drones were launched toward Moscow Oblast and that 64 were downed while approaching the capital. The Elektrostal strike was the second Wildberries fulfillment-center hit that night, after a facility in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, was struck earlier. The Kyiv Independent says it cannot immediately verify the reports and notes that Ukraine's military has not commented. The attack follows a month after Ukraine's June 18 drone strike on the Moscow Oil Refinery and comes amid an intensified Ukrainian long-range campaign targeting Russian military, industrial, and energy infrastructure; Reuters has reported the Moscow Oil Refinery is unlikely to resume production this year after earlier damage.
