The New York Liberty beat the Las Vegas Aces 93-85 to win the 2026 WNBA Commissioner's Cup at Barclays Center. Sabrina Ionescu scored 26 points, her best offensive effort of the season, and Breanna Stewart added 25 points and 11 rebounds while earning game MVP honors. New York became the first team to win the in-season tournament twice, having also beaten the Aces for the Cup in 2023. Four-time MVP A'ja Wilson sat out with a right ankle tweak, and Jackie Young scored 31 points, including 25 in the second half, keeping the Aces close. The Liberty rallied from a 71-69 Las Vegas lead with a 15-2 run sparked by Pauline Astier and capped by an Ionescu 3 that made it 84-73. The game set a Commissioner's Cup championship mark when New York scored 51 first-half points, and the team accepted the trophy from WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert with Spike Lee and Tom Brady among attendees.
