Colson Montgomery launched a 440-foot, 109.1 mph two-run homer off Trey Gibson (an 87.2 mph slider) to give the Chicago White Sox a 3-1 lead in the top of the third inning. The blast, Montgomery's 21st of the season, cleared to right-center on a 29-degree launch angle and drove in Andrew Benintendi. Chicago broke the game open in a seven-run third inning and went on to a 9-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles. The victory closed June with the White Sox atop the AL Central and moved Chicago to a two-game division lead.
