Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed a second drone strike on the Dubna Space Communications Center in Russia's Moscow region on June 30. Ukrainian attack drones struck the facility, with reports of two explosions, visible smoke, and nearby fires; Russian authorities said dozens of drones targeted the region. The Dubna complex is Russia's large satellite communications hub used for satellite communications, reconnaissance, and coordinating Russian forces, and Zelensky said the site lies more than 500 kilometers from Ukraine's border. Russian authorities imposed flight restrictions at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, briefly lifting them around 6 a.m. before reinstating them amid reports of strikes in the region. Zelensky said Ukraine's Defense Forces have recently struck four such Russian space-communications centers, including sites in the Moscow and Vladimir regions, making Dubna the second strike on that specific center within days.
