Manchester City agree fee to sign Elliot Anderson
Manchester City have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign Elliot Anderson for a fee worth up to £130 million. The 23-year-old midfielder must still finalise personal terms at the Etihad and pass a medical before the transfer is completed. City submitted an improved offer to secure Forest's acceptance, with the clubs agreeing a deal that hinges on the structure of performance-related bonuses. Negotiations over that bonus structure were handled directly by Evangelos Marinakis on Forest's behalf. Anderson has been given permission to undergo a medical while on England duty and a medical could take place in the United States ahead of the World Cup. If personal terms are agreed the clubs expect the move to be formalised imminently and Anderson to join City's squad this summer.
