Watched Supergirl Compared to her cousin, Supergirl's newest film feels fairly generic but has its moments with some of its action scenes and the performances of Milly Alcock and especially Jason Momoa but the plot and writing is as basic as it gets for a superhero movie

mixed reviews and all, it's unlikely that the new Supergirl movie is as bad as the '80s one--but then, the new Supergirl movie won't have a slumming, visibly drunk Peter O'Toole in it, so it's kind of wash.

No matter what you think of #Supergirl the sexist bombardment on Milly Alcock and attaching that sexism to the *insistence* that the movie should bomb is atrocious. Again think what you will of the movie but you can't deny it's been a disgusting aspect of the reaction in those internet corners.

Unfortunately Supergirl didn't spend the entire runtime pooping her pants in the new Supergirl movie 😔😔😔

I know a bunch of people will respond to the bad reviews for the #Supergirl movie by saying men are misogynists, are insecure, & can't stand movies being led by strong women. Except that's wrong. Men loved the movies with these strong women. It's bad movies & crummy writing fans can't stand.

*NO SPOILERS* Right; just got back from seeing #Supergirl - and inline with its source material, it's a very different film to Superman. If you're expecting another bright, Silver-Age romp-with-a-big-heart like the earlier film...no. It's much darker, as I said, inline with "Woman of Tomorrow". 1/3
