Mavericks acquire Sergio De Larrea via No. 25 draft pick trade

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Sergio De Larrea after the New York Knicks selected him with the No. 25 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. De Larrea, a Spanish guard currently playing for Valencia, was immediately moved in a multi-team draft-day exchange that routed the No. 30 pick Koa Peat to the Phoenix Suns and sent multiple future second-round picks and cash to New York. At about 6-foot-7 with a reputation for shooting and playmaking, De Larrea projects as a draft-and-stash prospect who gives Dallas a long, floor-spacing backcourt option for the future.
