While Jayden Quaintance recovers, the Spurs will have plenty to work with in Tarris Reed Jr. The 22-year-old St. Louis native carries 260 pounds on his 6-foot-10 frame and has a 7'4.25 wingspan.

The fact that the San Antonio Spurs are taking both Jayden Quaintance and Tarris Reed Jr. suggest to me that Quaintance could be a rookie redshirt (see: Harry Giles III)

The Spurs taking Quaintance and Tarris Reed Jr. is interesting. I like both prospects a lot, but this is almost like a hedge because of Quaintance's injury concerns. Reed was among the best remaining options for the Celtics.

I don't watch a ton of college basketball, but I do watch a decent amount of Big East ball. The fact that the Spurs end up with Tarris Reed Jr is a huge get.
