V Sky VTubers stream Steam Next Fest demos
Happy Steam Next Fest! Go discover some cool indie games. And when you’re done loading up your wishlist, come play something that’s already here. 🐭🕯️ Mina the Hollower is a finished, full adventure available now on Steam, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. ⚔️
I am 40 hours in. I think I’m half way through. Playing it is like having a conversation with my kid-self telling me about how cool this game I’m playing is. Not nostalgia, but a memory from now.
Beat it, loved it, love u
I have already done two full play throughs, really solid game 👍
Adding an additional data point to the whole 'Games using AI have much lower Steam reviews'. Almost(?) zero of the top-rated 100 demos/games in this Next Fest use AI (or at least, disclose it)
The thing with games is that it's a medium that inherently demands focused attention and close scrutiny, so people are going to notice if something looks, feels or sounds half-assed. And in a demo festival, you tap out fast when something's obviously not made with care.
I think we we have so many games it's easy to just go "slop" and move on. Maybe it would be different if there wasn't a billion games fighting for attention that are great on their own merit but even then it seems like the general sentiment is "if you can't bother to make it why should i play it?"
Who would disclose it after what happened with Expedition 33?
