Fifteen charged in Minnesota immigration enforcement case

newsJun 16, 2026435,114

U.S. Attorney Dan Rosen charged 15 people Tuesday with conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers and related counts for allegedly interfering with a federal immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota. Prosecutors say the defendants were members of two Minneapolis-based 'antifa' groups that 'violently oppose' immigration law enforcement and brought an indictment containing eight felony counts, including assault on a federal officer. The 94-page indictment cites social media posts as evidence, and the charges arrive after a controversial enforcement surge in Minnesota amid scrutiny of prior federal prosecutions of protesters.

Q: Here in Minnesota, people still have questions as to why there isn't any prosecution or charges filed against the officers who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti ROSEN: Those investigations are ongoing. We're not going to get into the details.

It's been 7 fucking months, and the murders were on camera from multiple angles. DOJ is a state murderer protection racket.

Jo54

You have videos, eyewitnesses & the names of the killers. What more investigating could you possibly need to do?

maplepoutine.bsky.social27

There won’t be any federal charges brought against the officers who shot Renee Good or Alex Pretti. Trump is pardoning criminals, appointing criminals to top jobs and taking bribes from criminals. This is a lawless administration. Dems have to step up and charge these criminals

Translation: We’re going to deflect until the public forgets about it! 🤬

Steph K12

He's sounds like a dick. So nothing, in other words.

Code for “we’re not doing anything but hoping Minnesotans will forget.”

Heidi Finan8

Turn the tables on these dumb mofos. Turn their dumb antifa presser into demanding accountability for shooting/executing MN citizens.

T-Fish🇨🇦🍁7

Ya they’ll be ongoing until this regime is toppled. They have no intent on prosecuting the murderers. At all.

Dee Mack5

So they go after people’s free speech and slow walk the murders of 2 American citizens?

jerome cylin5

The investigation is very simple. We watched it happen.

beaker66.bsky.social5

It’s on the “who bombed the Iranian girls school” timeline.

HockeyDad4

They have concepts of an investigation. It’s on the tariff shelf, behind the healthcare plan next to the unredacted Epstein files

We will not be intimidated

I live in a very Jewish part of Minneapolis and my neighbors are appalled at this guy’s performative kippeh wearing

Andy Birss3

Replace the word 'investigations' with 'cover-ups' and you have an accurate representation of what is going on.

They are being ignored in the order in which they were received

sandy2950.bsky.social2

Mr. Rosen should be ashamed of himself, but I guess one of the job qualifications under the current administration is to have no shame!!

As always, there's a sleight of hand w/Maggie Haberman's work. Here, there's almost no discussion of the way Greg Bovino had been inciting violence, often by having CBP assault protestors, almost certainly on Stephen Miller's orders. Just the detail he was removed. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/15/u...

The meeting broke up without a decision — a vague consensus to keep thinking about it. But it had been clarifying in its own way. Even after the administration’s posture had helped escalate tensions in Minnesota, even with the blowback mounting, the vice president and Mr. Miller were still searching for a reason to put federal troops on American streets.

Under immense public pressure, the administration would subsequently take a different course of action. The most vocal immigration hard-liner, Gregory Bovino, the Customs and Border Protection commander-at-large, was removed from his post, and the administration held back on ICE pushes in cities in the weeks after Mr. Pretti’s death.

Here's an example of the import of this. Bovino's goons were driving around Twin Cities (and before that Chicago, and before that LA) initiating violence against protestors. In this case, Paul Johnson, they hospitalized him and kept him incommunicado. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

If someone’s removal gets covered but the conduct that led to it barely gets discussed, people are left debating the consequence instead of the cause.

moondoggus.bsky.social10

Astonishing that Vance wanted to put troops on the streets. If he takes the Presidency, it’s going to get worse. Maybe much worse.

The drip drip reveal of the texture of Trump’s excrement is EXHAUSTING. Eff Haberman and Swan.

coalminephoenix.bsky.social7

It’s the passive voice of limiting responsibility and accountability. Bovino “was removed”—not fired, no note of who took that action and why, as he was reassigned like Noem, to a lower profile role. Even the terms used by Habberman reflect the administration’s cadence using “posture”.

M. Bartos6

Her ties to the Trump's and Kushner's make it impossible for me to taker seriously. Now she's selling her book.

meta4

Loved your very apt description of Maggie Haberman: not a journalist, a narrator.

kristinekenyon.bsky.social2

Maggie Haberman should crawl back under her MAGA rock for another 4 yrs. She’s done enough damage. bsky.app/profile/kris...

Melina2

Well, she is unreliable, but also more reliable than some. Bovino was just a worker who was given no oversight & acted illegally. He should be held accountable and there should def be names in that paragraph. There is so much confirmation, including what we saw w/ our own eyes.

Minnesota US Attorney Dan Rosen having a news conference at 11 a.m. to announced charges against ”antifa.” Probably explains the reports of FBI in area & legal observers being picked up & homes searched.

milkweed.bsky.social41

I guess they got indictments. Grand jury transcripts need to be released immediately to the defendants.

Timmonsdan37

Let’s hope someone asks again about the investigations for Alex and Renee.. Still waiting for my check for protesting..

Thorpe Langton28

Dan feeling himself a bit after the Boelter plea gave him a chance to give a press conference that didn’t involve explaining why federal agents were murdering local citizens

Shannon21

It is going to ne antifa summer to prime the public for the unconstitutional suppression of freedom in the fall. Trump wants to create justifications for interfering with the elections in November. protectthevote.net

Kim15

So the volunteer legal observers are getting rounded up vs just killing them in the street?

prince egregious, heir apparent8

I have some fear of a Prairieland situation, but we'll see.

Jenny6

They're ramping up attacks on resistance, protests, observers, voter registration, dem leaders, basically anyone they can call a "group" that isn't right wing or is a vocal dem. Minnesota, Ohio, Chicago, California, Georgia. I hope all their cases go down in flames.

catbnymble.bsky.social6

My dad was a WWII bombardier. He could have shown them some real Antifa. RIP, Dad.

tartan37.bsky.social6

No such animal. That said, there are millions of us that are against fascism.

Charlie Fillenwarth4

“THEY’RE ANTIFA!” “Do you know what Antifa means?” “YES, IT MEANS THEY ARE FASCISTS WHO NEED TO GO TO JAIL!!” “Um, no. Try again….”

Time to impeach this coward.

Today, the US Attorney's Office in Minneapolis and Homeland Security Investigations announced "Antifa" charges against accused anti-ICE protesters. In short, after ICE murdered people in the streets, they want to pretend that those who stood up to ICE represent the real threat to the public. 🧵⬇️

Rosen, and the Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations holding a press conference to announce charges against multiple defendants. CrimethInc. Ex-Workers' Collective94

The goal of the "Antifa" charges is to terrorize people out of standing up for each other when federal agents descend on a community to do violence to it. We must stand by one another. The 15 people charged are alleged to be participants in Black Cat Workers Collective and Direct Action Minnesota.

gilligan65.bsky.social21

Here’s a photo to help the Minneapolis US Attorney’s Office identify members of Antifa.

Radiator Cat13

Again and again we must point out that "Antifa" is a GOOD thing. It means we are openly opposed to fascists and pro-democracy.

🥒🐸🌮🦋 Anemia B10

The way people debase themselves. These people know there is no such "organization". They are standing in front of a nation saying they are charging a non existent entity with a straight face. Incredible.

They Say8

The Trump regime uses the DARVO technique to manipulate the facts and avoid accountability.

Evo Daily6

You solidify the fact that you're a criminal administration when you make it a crime to be ant-fascist, anti-racist, anti-plutocrat, anti-pedophile, anti-police brutality and anti-corruption, but not a crime for the government to be a massive racketeering syndicate.

Rosalie907💙🇺🇸🇮🇪🇺🇦🌈🦋6

These charges are beyond belief. ANTIFA,REALLY.

Staid Winnow5

They can pretend all they want; the real danger is them murdering more people, and there being no constitutional recourse against that.

Steve Mac Qwark5

Antifa stands for anti-fascism. Antifa is a political belief, not an organization. It's like how Nazis still exists within institutions and gangs despite the original Nazi party being disbanded for over 80 years.

Dolorosa Santos4

He wore his yamaka while spewing bullshit? What God does he worship, Satanyahu?

commandokaz2

what is that fund trump set up for people prosecuted by the government?
