I hate to break this to you, but pro sports have done more for fascism than just about any industry- from the oligarchs like James Dolan, down to the millionaire players, who have been complicity apolitical (at best). Happy for Knicks’ fans, but the playtime industry is not the cavalry.

Underrated facet of the Knicks' win is Leon Rose with a generational managing-up job spending years convincing James Dolan to let him cook and not panic even in situations where owners who aren't as jumpy and irrational as Dolan would have panicked.
