Secret Lair drop sells out as buyers stuck in checkout queue

Wizards of the Coast's Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair cat-themed drop, including Witch's Familiar and Purr Majesty items, sold out during checkout as collectors waited in pre-queue and live purchase lines. Collectors reported waiting roughly 30 to 33 minutes in the queue and seeing foil bundles and individual cards removed from their carts at the moment of payment. Many buyers who specifically sought Witch's Familiar, the Spirit of the Hearth bonus card, or other cat-centric prints ended up unable to complete purchases. The failures highlight how limited-run drops and current checkout systems can block direct purchases of art-driven releases and push collectors toward secondary markets.

Every secret lair drop I've seen lately has been constant posts of disappointment or shock that they managed to actually get it. Why the fuck is buying cards directly from the manufacturer so difficult?? Does hasbro actually make more money selling less product? What value is in this broken system?!

I heard there are gonna be 6 marvel sets total or something. For the other 4 stones to show up. Plenty of time for Footdive: UR Instant Target creature you control gains +4/+0 and flying until end of turn. When it attacks it deals damage equal to its power to target creature and tap that creature.

Cat SecretLair: In pre-queue within minutes of open & checkout at 9:28 AM PST. Foil bundle removed from cart during payment. I had some separate foil individual foil drops in cart, but cancelled them. If they can't let me buy what I want when jumping through their hoops, I'm not accepting crumbs. 👇
