FBI raids Ohio Organizing Collaborative office, questions members statewide

BREAKING MS NOW: FBI agents on Thursday raided the Cleveland offices of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative — a pro-democracy organization that helps register voters in that state, according to three people briefed on the search.

I am alarmed and outraged by reports that Trump and Kash Patel’s FBI has raided the Ohio Organizing Collective in Cleveland. This appears to be a blatant effort to suppress and deny the vote of people in Northeast Ohio. These raids must end immediately.

The Ohio Organizing Collaborative is, for lack of a better phrase, a completely normal NGO. For the FBI to raid them - and people who are just associated with them - is a serious attack on ordinary civil society and almost certainly an effort to influence Ohio’s midterm elections.

We’ve learned that federal law enforcement raided offices of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, as well as homes of employees, board members, and activists. This appears to be an outrageous fishing expedition, an attempt to intimidate people working for democracy in our communities and country. 1/3
