Pope Leo XIV visited Tenerife and the port of Arguineguín on Gran Canaria on the final day of a weeklong trip to Spain to spotlight migration. Speaking to migrants and aid workers, he condemned human trafficking and warned traffickers to 'stop, repent or face God's wrath'. He urged newcomers to pursue legal pathways and to integrate, declaring 'all of us are migrants' and 'human dignity has no passport'. He laid a wreath at sea for migrants who perished and called on Spain and Europe to expand humane legal routes, a push that could influence policy and local integration efforts.
