Texas repeats as Women’s College World Series champions

Texas beat Texas Tech 4-1 in Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series, with Kayden Henry’s solo homer providing the decisive run. Starter Citlaly Gutierrez delivered a strong outing, and reliever Teagan Kavan struck out five in the final two innings to finish the game. The victory gives Texas consecutive national championships and cements the Longhorns as one of the premier programs in NCAA softball.

I could honestly enjoy Texas repeating if my dad hadn’t been such a negative Nelly about Tech all World Series. I wanted them to prove him wrong. He said Nija didn’t deserve her NIL deal b/c there was no pro softball. Also said that Tech didn’t deserve to win cause they bought all their players… 🫠
