ICE Age: Boiling Point teaser and poster released
Disney released the first teaser and poster for ICE Age: Boiling Point, and the studio's official teaser video confirms the film opens in theaters on February 5, 2027. Disney's press materials credit John Donkin as the film's director and confirm franchise characters Crash and Eddie will return. The trailer highlights updated animation and slapstick set pieces, positioning Boiling Point as the next major installment in the long-running ICE Age franchise and setting expectations for family audiences ahead of its 2027 release.
I’m pleasantly surprised by the animation in the Ice Age Boiling Point trailer. Sure, it definitely looks cheaper than the later Blue Sky Ice Age movies, but Bardel seems capable of pulling off the slapstick those later movies had. They just needed a higher budget. youtu.be/3fjmjX0QOIg?...
It kind of looks like Sony Imageworks to me. Certainly a step-up from Bardel’s other Disney projects.
You know with all of that and... bringing back those possums (which i hope they're less annoying,) at least the animation was allright here. Assuming it's using that pixar render like with Scrat Tales.
Way better looking than Adventures of Buck Wild, that's for sure.
I got a soft spot for Ice Age, so I'm interested in the new movie.
Me too, since fun fact, my dad knew someone who worked at Blue Sky. Their baby’s name was either in the credits of Dawn of the Dinosaurs or Horton.
I’m always down for some more Sid
Won't lie. Feel the same as well ever since I've did all of Blue Sky's films for Nimona. Didn't do Buck Wild though now I may have an excuse to do it. Still though, seeing the characters with (most) of the original actors and with animation that doesn't come straight out of a PS2 game is promising.
