Trump holds meeting to make 'final determination' on Iran deal
President Donald Trump held a two-hour Situation Room meeting Friday to make a "final determination" on a proposed U.S.-Iran deal. U.S. and Iranian negotiators had agreed on a framework for a potential accord, but Trump requested edits to the envoys' text, pressing for tougher language on the fate of Iran's uranium stockpile. No agreement was announced after the meeting and Trump postponed signing while advisers weigh the requested revisions. The outcome matters because a finalized pact could reopen the Strait of Hormuz, curb Iran's nuclear activities, and reshape regional security and global markets, while collapse could return the region to open hostilities.
Nope! Ten years in, he can still pull the football away from corporate media effortlessly. After a week of media telling us there was a deal, then slowly revealing neither Trump nor Iran had agreed to anything, Trump has just left a supposedly decisive meeting WITHOUT a decision.
Imagine the same man punking you EVERY DAY for a decade and you doing NOTHING, literally NOTHING, to change your habits to protect your integrity and professional reputation.
Otherwise known as FRIDAY. And the stock market closed on another record high, completely ignoring reality.
why would he want to make a decision when he's making so much bank from keeping the war a going concern. He probably now loves war more than real estate. Do you he's disqualified himself from the Nobel Prize?
They're not talking to him. Would you trust this guy? His negotiation team are real estate developers.
He’s been pulling this shit with the tabloids since the 1980’s. They still fall for it, over and over again, so it’s no wonder he’s still doing it at age fucking 80.
Trump’s ‘art of the deal’ is nowhere to be seen with Iran | Mohamad Bazzi
Which deal? No, it is a) lies from a notorious liar b) market manipulation c) an ongoing illegal war, war crimes.
As it doesn't exist, that's not a surprise.
Trump's "art of the deal"....is....and always has been.... ....a lie just like most things about his life
It's a book title. That is the beginning and end of it when it comes to meaning for this guy. He has no skills in negotiating. He has no grasp of numbers, stats or future growth. It's all made up. No serious negotiator is buying any of his grift.
You mean the deal making described in that book that someone else wrote?
C'mon Guardian -- some bland, witless person on your staff thinks this lede is clever, but the book was 40 years ago, and the author *apologized several times* that it was mostly fictional PR done for a paycheck. Restating = amplifying
This on brand for trump. He’s never been anything but bluff and bluster.
Hey but don't forget he resolved the Ukraine/Russia conflict in 24 hours!! Or maybe not.... 🤔
“The Art of the Deal” 😂😂😂 It only seems to work when Trump manages to find a counterpart even dumber than himself. Quite a challenge, really.
