Kris Statlander defeats Hikaru Shida in Lights Out Philly Street Fight
Kris Statlander defeated Hikaru Shida in a Lights Out Philly Street Fight on AEW's Collision/Dynamite special. The no-disqualification bout featured heavy kendo stick strikes, barricade tossing and other weapons as both women traded brutal spots. Statlander absorbed repeated offense before scoring the decisive pin over Shida. The violent stipulation and extended finish underline AEW putting women in hardcore main-event matches and push Statlander's momentum upward.
Great match. Great outcome. Great time. I'm so glad that ruled as hard as it did. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida killed that match. Philly Street Fight, main event! Fantastic. #AEWCollision
Kris Stat came away looking like an absolute BADASS. Shida looked menacing as hell afterwards. They did a fantastic job.
I won't lie, I was a little nervous at first but they managed to wake the crowd up halfway thru. I actually hope this is the BEGINNING of Shida and Statlander's feud. Cuz now Shida actually has more motive to go after Stat and Harley wit more ferocity next time. Hell, throw the TBS title into it.
Statlander and Shida with an damn good match worthy of a main event❤️ Now, how many of y'all decided to bitch through the whole goddamn thing instead of actually supporting these women beating the hell out of each other for YOUR viewing pleasure? #AEWCollision 🤼♂️
I bitched because I got an ad 😆
There still should be more women's matches! Them having an awesome main event doesn't change that! It actually proves it more!
and considering what we learned from the scrum, TK probably had to fight hard to get them in the main event.
