Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition confirmed for Switch 2, Sept 24
Square Enix will release Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on September 24, 2026. The Switch 2 edition uses the Definitive Edition build and will be offered in a physical edition alongside digital availability. Bringing XI S to Switch 2 delivers the expanded JRPG package to Nintendo's current hardware, letting new and returning players experience the full Echoes of an Elusive Age content on the next-generation console.

really wish they'd do more modernizations for classic DQ games. 8 is overdue for a remaster (the 3ds version stripped the stellar voice acting.) and IX didn't really get a chance to shine its brightest since it was a DS game but I'd love a chance to replay that with nicer visuals.
