Wander Franco found criminally responsible in Dominican abuse case

Curious how MLB will handle Wander Franco. He's been convicted in court but he's not serving prison time. strongly suspect fans will look to the league to issue a consequence, but he's got six and a half guaranteed years left on his deal.

Somewhere, the worst person you know is thinking “hey since he avoided prison time, maybe my team could sign Wander Franco”

I'm assuming that Wander Franco isn't going to get back in the country, and if he does he still was never suspended so they can keep in limbo for at least a Bauer amount of time. At that point he probably gets blackballed but the Rays might still owe him 75-100 million

My sister is an immigration lawyer and per her there's no way Wander Franco is coming back into the country. Of course, there might be corruption that helps him but that kind of verdict almost certainly bars him from entering the country ever again.

How soon until MLB shrugs its shoulders and allows Franco to play again?
