I've been seeing posts about which actor might be a good James Bond, and this came to mind A 1971 adaptation of Alastair Maclean's When Eight Bells Toll. A gritty spy thriller meant to rival James Bond films, and starring Anthony Hopkins.

The thing I don't understand about the controversy of casting the next James Bond movie is that there's like two dozen James Bond movies and half of them suck. They're so worried that the casting choice will ruin the series when ruining James Bond movies is a time-honored tradition
