ME Awareness Day, patient groups call for more research

On ME Awareness Day, patient groups placed a feature in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy's magazine Frontline, reaching more than 67,000 UK chartered physiotherapists and calling for stronger research and clinical support for ME/CFS. Advocates published 'Do no harm: supporting people with ME/CFS' to press for cautious, evidence-based care for the severely affected, and Louise Kenward introduced Moving Mountains, a video on writing about nature through illness and disability. Developers released WatchME v2.10 for iPhone and Apple Watch to help people with daily pacing; the app is free and collects no data. Campaigners say expanding targeted research and clear diagnostic pathways matters because many severely bedbound patients and children with Long Covid lack access to services and tailored treatments.
