Empire Strikes Back Hoth walker origin myth revisited

The broad story of The Empire Strikes back fundamentally does not work if you apply any kind of logic of time and distance to it. The movie is saved entirely by every person involved in the film turning in the best work of their career.

The original trilogy, I think, struggles a little to fit Leia in. She doesn't actually *do* anything in The Empire Strikes Back, for example. She radicalises the Ewoks, but they're evil little fuckers already.

I think Empire Strikes Back was great, and half of Return of the Jedi, but...yeah, they should have stopped after that.
