OpenAI is making Codex and other models available on Amazon Bedrock, bringing its code-generation and managed-agent tools to Amazon's cloud. The change loosens OpenAI's prior cloud exclusivity with Microsoft after the companies revised their partnership terms and will let enterprise customers run OpenAI models through Bedrock-managed agents and infrastructure. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy confirmed the expansion, and OpenAI says the move aims to broaden customer cloud choices and accelerate enterprise adoption of its models. This increases competition among cloud providers for AI infrastructure and gives companies more deployment options for building code assistants and agent-driven workflows.
