Sam Neill says he is cancer-free after CAR T-cell trial
Sam Neill, 78, announced he is cancer-free after five years battling stage 3 blood cancer following participation in an Australian CAR T-cell clinical trial. Neill described himself as "very, very excited" and says the CAR T-cell therapy he received should be rolled out more widely to blood cancer patients across Australia. Wider public access to CAR T-cell treatment could offer a curative option for patients with hard-to-treat blood cancers and change care options for similar cases.
