Valve confirms Steam Controller launches May 4, priced $99
Valve confirmed the Steam Controller will go on sale May 4 for $99. The company said there will be no preorders and units will be sold starting on launch day. Valve notes compatibility caveats for some devices and games and urges buyers to check supported hardware and software details before ordering. This matters because the controller’s touchpad-focused layout and configurable Steam features aim to offer a distinct PC gamepad experience, so compatibility will determine whether buyers get the intended controls.
Hey uh, does the Steam Controller's DPAD feel good? Anyone know?
Going off the Giant Bomb breakdown, they apparently went to the fighting game community for d-pad testing and it's pretty accurate with your inputs even for strict games like Third Strike.
If it’s anything like the Steam Deck, it’s just aggressively ok. It would be cool if we could mod in a different pad without serious tech skills.
Linus here mentioned it felt okay, it has been the only review I've seen pop on youtube so far. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpJB...
I'm curious too but it hasn't launched yet
