Presidents Ursula von der Leyen, Charles Michel and Roberta Metsola signed a Joint Declaration launching the "One Europe, One Market" roadmap. The roadmap binds the European Commission, Council and Parliament to concrete measures and deadlines to complete a fully integrated single market by the end of 2027. It directs institutions to remove long-standing cross-border barriers and prioritize regulatory changes to speed trade and services across member states. That matters because completing the single market will simplify rules for businesses, boost Europe’s competitiveness and global influence, and reshape how goods, services and capital move across the bloc.
