Four people were killed and at least 15 were injured in three apparently unrelated shootings across the Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas late on Halloween night, police said. The first shooting began about 12:20 a.m. near the 2600 block of Elm Street, a second occurred about 1:05 a.m. on the 2600 block of Main Street, and the third began about 1:35 a.m. on the 200 block of S. Crowdus Street. Dallas Police Chief Daniel C. Comeaux said detectives are still trying to understand each scene and that investigators have no information the incidents are related. Police took one suspect into custody and said at least one other person was being sought. Chief Comeaux noted the injured count could rise because some victims transported themselves to hospitals. Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson and City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert said city officials will continue the investigation and keep the victims and their families in their thoughts.
