To anyone stealing from American taxpayers: The tricks are over. The treats are running out. Happy Halloween!" Critics immediately slammed the message as racist and many demanded her removal or impeachment. Media outlets Raw Story and Mediaite ran headlines calling the post shockingly racist. Political activist Jamie Bonkiewicz is among named critics who condemned Rollins. The episode revived earlier complaints about Rollins, including an internal memo noting a union sued her over proselytizing emails sent to roughly 100,000 USDA staff, and it has intensified scrutiny of her role in the administration in the run-up to Election Day.
