Full-size candy bars headline some Halloween houses

On Halloween many households advertised they were handing out full-size or king candy bars, with people posting that they stocked Costco boxes and even drove to US Foods to find more. Several posts described neighborhood traditions around oversized treats, a trunk-or-treat volunteer handing out multiple full-size bars, hosts running Hot Wheels races to lure kids, and one person requiring a minute of The Invisible Man as “payment” for a bar. Some homes ran out of stock and others reported having few or no trick-or-treaters despite buying big boxes, including one household that said the last two years brought zero visitors. Practical hiccups showed up: treat tubes that could not fit full-size bars and parents policing how many bars teenagers took. The trend prompted visible signaling by hosts, wearing themed jackets, staking out camping chairs, or posting “full-size bar house”, and at least one post noted a nearby neighbor offering take-three rules alongside full-size bars.
