In an interview with Yahoo Japan, executive producer Jun Takeuchi outlined Capcom’s plans for its flagship horror franchise, revealing that its encompassing narrative has a definite conclusion — and that end could come shockingly soon.

Finished Resident Evil Requiem and absolutely loved it. The way it balances survival horror and action horror is fantastic, and it feels like both a celebration of Resident Evil’s history and a confident step forward. 10/10. One of my new favorites in the series.

I wonder if the end of Resident Evil will be a full reboot, the 10th conclusion to the current storyline, or the start of a new arc with older characters retiring and the new protagonists becoming more important.

So all that's left is for me to play the RE4 remake and i'll be caught up with modern Resident Evil, but I want to finish the original before I start that. Also a friend and I have started a run of RE5... will I play 6? I don't know. I mostly hear bad stuff about it, but I do have it.
