musicOct 27, 202625314

Taylor Swift was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame at the gala on Monday, becoming the youngest person ever to receive the honor. She was inducted alongside Lyle Lovett, Shawn Camp, Lee Thomas Miller, Bruce Channel and J.I. Allison. Swift recalled signing her first publishing deal in Nashville at age 14 and said Nashville songwriting fundamentals let her “genre hop.” Brad Paisley introduced Swift and Lainey Wilson performed a bluegrass version of Swift’s “Love Story.” Swift credited early collaborators including co-writer Liz Rose and producer Nathan Chapman, whose work produced her self-titled debut album released in 2006. George Strait received the Hall of Fame’s Career Maker Award at the same event. The induction adds a second hall of fame honor to Swift’s list of awards, coming about 22 years after her first Nashville publishing deal and after winning 14 Grammys.
