Thunder's Cason Wallace to undergo surgery on torn labrum

sportsOct 26, 202636118

Oklahoma City guard Cason Wallace suffered a left-shoulder labrum tear in Sunday’s game versus the Clippers and will undergo surgery, the Thunder announced; the team gave no immediate timetable and described him as sidelined indefinitely. Wallace exited in the first quarter and Jared McCain started the second half in his place. The news comes the same night Jalen Williams suffered a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula, injuries ESPN and The Athletic called potentially season-ending. Spotrac analyzed the roster implications and said the Thunder have options but are likely to be patient rather than make an immediate move. Losing Wallace removes another rotation wing for Oklahoma City as the club adjusts its rotation and short-term depth.
