Bird of the Day, theme 'Seasonal'

Bird of the Day is a daily community event; today Atlantic Birding set the theme #Seasonal, with an alternate theme #Corvids. The gallery features autumnal and seasonal shots: migrants and flocks, courtship and nesting scenes, and birds posed against fall color. Standouts include a Eurasian Jay collecting acorns, a juvenile black-crowned night heron, a throwback image of Snow Geese and three Tundra Swans on autumn migration, a drake Mandarin profile, and an ibis carrying nesting branches. Look for kestrels hunting against autumn foliage, whooper swan family groups, sanderlings on the shore, and multiple corvids such as carrion crows, jackdaws, rooks, and a raven under dusk light.
