Bird of the Day, theme 'Little Legs'

Bird of the Day is a daily community event with today's prompt #LittleLegs and an alternate theme #Brown, asking contributors to share birds with small legs or brown backgrounds. Submissions highlight tiny-legged passerines and coastal birds, from delicate Long Tailed Tit close-ups to a European Hoopoe sheltering in the rain. Contributors also spotlight puffins noted as awkward on land, kingfishers called "just feet" rather than legs, and a Bohemian Waxwing photographed eating a frozen berry at -30°C. Look for waders, swallows, treecreepers, and backyard feeders all framed to emphasize short legs or brown backgrounds under the #LittleLegs tag.
