Silent Hill: Townfall players stream endings and debate the game's story
I finished Silent Hill Townfall, beautiful game and captivating narrative, I think I just really dislike hiding in closet horror stealth personally. The parts of the game I liked most had no closets. Maybe its a generational thing idk. do the children love closets
Now that young folk are all out of the closet, they need games to simulate it for them
I think Still Wakes the Deep got the balance right, there where closets & cupboards aplenty but I maybe used them once or twice the whole game? Although introducing that style of gameplay into a franchise where you famously 'can' fight back is always going to be extra awkward or unwelcome even.
I wouldn't have minded the closets if the enemies didn't just... chill outside them. For long periods of time. Unmoving. I know they fixed some things in the patch, made them a bit more prone to hustling, but when I played it was so tedious to just sit there looking at the TV twiddling my thumbs.
same i honestly kind of hate any horror game where you can't fight back
Stealth horror is tricky. There's a thin line between boring annoyance and exciting tension.
