Bird of the Day is running a Brown theme today, asking for birds with brown in their plumage. Gallery entries focus on field and close-up nature photography of brown-plumaged species, often offering foraging, juvenile, and habitat shots. Standouts include a Ruddy Turnstone foraging on the beach, a closeup of a young Mallard duckling, and a male Brown-headed Cowbird photographed on the Bruce Peninsula. Look for waders, ducklings, juvenile raptors, and tropical brown species among the submissions under the #Brown tag.
