Godzilla Minus Zero, final trailer released

Toho and GKids released the final official trailer for Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla Minus Zero, opening its marketing run with the line "Weapons that require a sacrifice... they know all about it." The trailer continues the marketing choice of withholding large monster shots, showing no big monster footage and keeping Ghidorah and other Kaiju mostly hidden. Godzilla Minus Zero picks up in 1949, two years after Godzilla Minus One, and follows the Shikishima family as they confront a new calamity. Ryunosuke Kamiki returns as Koichi Shikishima and Minami Hamabe returns as Noriko Oishi; the cast also includes Miou Tanaka, Sakura Ando, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Yuki Yamada, and Kuranosuke Sasaki. The film is written and directed by Yamazaki, produced by Kazuaki Kishida, with music by Naoki Satô and VFX led by Yamazaki; it is a Toho Studios and Robot Communications production. Godzilla Minus Zero will premiere at the 2026 New York Film Festival and GKids will release it in US theaters on November 6, 2026; IMAX early access screenings are slated for November 3, 2026.

i am unsure how i feel about godzilla minus zero introducing ghidorah after the kind of story that minus one was like, look, ghidorah is cool as fuck. obviously. i got excited when i heard that roar but it does feel a little strange to go straight to the three headed space dragon

I've definitely noticed it, too. Disney is not following their usual marketing playbook here. It's a strangely muted push, especially compared to how other big releases in November (Godzilla Minus Zero, Cat in the Hat, Hunger Games) are being marketed. Even Cliff Booth has been advertised more.
