Avengers: Endgame Encore re-released in theaters last weekend with four new scenes that set up December’s Avengers: Doomsday, but one of those teases was shown only in IMAX and Infinity Vision screenings. Kotaku reports the added footage includes a Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter moment, Bruce Banner meeting Doctor Doom, a brief look at the forging of Doom’s mask, and a Time Variance Authority scene featuring cameos from the Loki TV series on Disney+. Several moviegoers who saw standard 2D showings told Kotaku they were surprised and frustrated to find the TVA/Loki tie-in withheld behind the IMAX/Infinity Vision paywall. Kotaku notes Disney’s August 25 press release did state that “an additional sneak peek” would be available on IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified screens, but some viewers said they had not seen that notice and avoid MCU details to dodge spoilers. Critics quoted by Kotaku called the gatekeeping “scummy,” saying the brief Doomsday teaser felt like a commercial for the December film rather than a simple extra scene. The exclusive placement means audiences who want the complete Encore experience must buy IMAX or Infinity Vision tickets to see the TVA cameo before Doomsday’s release.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME - ENCORE in INFINITY VISION was a great time at the movies. We had perfect seats, no one in front of us or beside us, and the image looked great - the new color grading was especially noticeable in the third act's final battle, which was brighter and more vibrant.
