At All Elite Wrestling All Out 2026 in the NOW Arena in Chicago, Steven Borden suffered a scary in-ring injury during a tag match teaming with TNT Champion Darby Allin against Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher. Borden and Knight collided after agreeing to a top-rope clash; Borden landed back-first and his head struck the canvas, prompting officials to stop the match and award the bout to Fletcher and Knight. AEW’s commentary reported Borden was conscious and responsive as he was taken to a local hospital. At the All Out media scrum AEW President Tony Khan said, "Steven Borden, awake, responsive at the hospital and he had a CT scan and all the tests have come back good. So far, all good results and we’re hopeful Steven’s gonna be able to fly home tomorrow to his family," a quote transcribed by Fightful. AEW paused the card to care for Borden and medical personnel evaluated him ringside before transport; the company says it will provide updates if more information becomes available.
