Players praise Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave opening

gamingSep 20, 2026781,162

Fortune's Weave's opening has become the moment people keep returning to, with reaction rooted in concrete beats of the first hours. Listeners point to the flamenco and guitar-tinged score and a colosseum fight where the original battle theme swells, a musical callback that many single out as gripping. Narrative snippets and character lines are already being quoted, including the Dietrich Gregor Lamine line about prayers and a surprising 'old woman yuri' reveal within the first ten minutes. Players are also talking through gameplay details, calling out the recruiting system and dungeon balance while praising armor knights and specific champion playthroughs like Cai's.

one of those things where i feel like it's never not been true, but damn fire emblem music is so damned good. i love all the flamenco & guitar in fortune's weave... the moment the original battle theme began during a colosseum fight i was like oh right, that's always been part of the music's dna

oh fuck yeah Fire Emblem music rules. I used to listen to mixes of it before even playing the games after hearing the track from SSBM as a kid and thinking it was the raddest shit ever

Hmm hmm all the way back with Melee and hearing "Together, We Ride!" been a massive fan. Can't wait to here the new music when my copy arrives in ~a week!

the thousand little details on the clothes, the weapons if one wants to be fully accurate, and oh God the hairstyles... lotta anime games are very cosplayer hostile, I fear.

my dream is for them to make a smash bros card game just because it would be really funny to see someone playing a deck full of fire emblem / xenoblade characters against someone who is like, spamming waddle dee tokens with king dedede. it would be so funny

At least it's not as bad as Awakening and Fates which turn you into an aristocratic family focused only on their child's bloodline

Even though he's responding, his mind is drifting mid-conversation into a space where I can't reach him. I can see it in his eyes. He's not here. His heart is not with me. He's thinking about Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave again.

Good morning and Happy Funday Sunday! I enjoyed Fortune's Weave last night. Such a fun game. My plans are going to my uncle's house and eat. I might start a new file on a Pokemon game. Have a wonderful day and stay amazing!
