Aaron Rowe, an Irish singer who was scheduled to open Ed Sheeran’s Loop tour, announced he is withdrawing from the tour in solidarity with Macklemore and Palestinians. Rowe said he made the decision reluctantly, adding that Ed Sheeran has been a friend who changed his life and that he could never thank him enough. Rowe wrote that, as Irish people, they know about "genocide, forced famine and violent occupation" and that he cannot allow "billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices" of those speaking against Israeli actions. Rowe said he would lose all respect for himself if he remained on the remaining tour dates. Macklemore was removed from Sheeran’s tour after making pro-Palestine comments on stage in New Jersey; Sheeran said stadium owners and promoters refused to allow Macklemore to perform. Stadium owners including Robert Kraft said the removal reflected concerns about Macklemore’s "antisemitic rhetoric and imagery."

After Robert Kraft rallied stadium owners to prevent Ed Sheeran’s tour from their venues unless he fired Macklemore, Sheeran’s opening acts Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe, as well as Sheeran’s touring band, Beoga, have all announced their departures from the tour.
