comicsSep 11, 202625944

Paul “Triple H” Levesque is credited as a co-creator on an original Spider-Man story titled "The Big Night" in Amazing Spider-Man #1000, paired with artist Ed McGuinness. Marvel lists "The Big Night" as one of multiple anniversary tales in the milestone issue, which is scheduled for release on September 30. The publication collects contributions from both definitive Spider-Man creators and acclaimed newcomers, including a Marvel Comics debut from Noah Hawley and a story by Joëlle Jones and Pepe Larraz's collaborators Kelly and Larraz. Marvel credits Triple H by his WWE Hall of Famer name and his role as Chief Content Officer for WWE. Amazing Spider-Man #1000 is presented as a lineup of short, celebratory stories marking the character's legacy.

No room for women when we need a slot for Triple H.

Spider-Man is a GIFT. Brand New Day was a gift. That's America's everyman hero. And no matter the reality, BND was seen as true pop art and fandom overcoming corporate callousness and carelessness. Stories about Holland helped spread that notion. www.fortressofsolitude.co.za/tom-holland-...

I’m more concerned he’ll retcon the Gwen Stacy and Green Goblin into a Katie Vick scenario.

he used AI didn't he?

The funny thing is that comic book writer and artist Daniel Warren Johnston probably understands wrestling better than hhh.

James1

To be fair, that would be in line with the current level of spider-man creative

It's honestly funny because Triple H would probably a write 6 month to year long storyline of Spider-Man suffering and call it cinematic.

Seeing JM DeMatteis the best comic writer of all time credited next to Triple H one of the worst wrestling personalities of all time was a surreal and depressing experience.

Such a bad line up, totally get Kelly, Slott, DeMatteis, Bendis & Lieber being here, but the "celebrity" writers feels so bad since this is Marvel's first real issue 1000 & its Spider-man. If they HAD to get celebrities, get Stephen King or Sam Raimi as they would pull in more readers than Triple H

I'm not keen on Frank Miller and Triple H, but not so much Noah Hawley.

Is Miller going to have Peter rant about how he loathes every other iconic Marvel hero?

What exactly is Triple H going to contribute to a comic? What is this brain-dead fash boy going to bring to Spider-Man? Laughable.

Comic fans always seem mad at Marvel and as a casual I don’t really get why, but when they bring on Triple H to write a Spider-Man story it’s like a moment of clarity never previously experienced.
